These last two years on pause has really given all of us the opportunity to reflect on our lives.
Some of us felt as though the restrictions were a penance, a punishment of sorts. It was a hard day’s night for sure.
And some of us used this time to reflect on how we spend our time, and did we have a pile of it to move through.
I know there were many conversations in our hive and within our swarm as we all tried to figure out what activities we were going to partake in to fill the void. It was a along and winding road.
Queen Bee may have just stumbled upon the most creative time filler I’ve witnessed to come out of Covid. She saw the need and created this amazing resource for our community.
As a passionate community volunteer, Queenie saw the challenges first hand: how do community groups get the word out about the awesome programming and events in our area. Facebook has more than a handful of community pages, all bragging about being the “official” page. The county has an events page but is hesitant to post non-County funded events for fear of being seen as supporting the event/group. So, they just plug their own. Small non-profits just can’t afford traditional print methods and many lack the tech know-how to jump on the social media band wagon. How can we come together as a community and support and promote each other?
Queen Bee put on her thinking cap. We can work this out!
