We have had some incredible Northern Light events in the past month, let’s hope they continue!
There is lots of history that goes with the lights. Did you know early Eskimos and Indians believed different legends about the Northern Lights, such as that they were the souls of fallen enemies trying to rise again or they were the souls of animals dancing in the sky?

This Thursday, April 20th, is Volunteer Appreciation Day.
Without volunteers, there would be so many local activities that would not happen. Youth sports, events, fundraising for causes we care about…the list is long. Reach out to someone you know that spends time volunteering, and say “Thanks”!
Volunteering is about giving back, and it is about being part of something. If everyone would just give an hour of volunteering a year, to whatever they feel is important to them, it would make a real impact on our communities. Next time you see a group needing help, consider volunteering.
