Lac La Biche Ice Festival wants to send a BIG THANKS to all the groups that helped with this year’s event. Although their event was challenged by Mother Nature, and 3 major events being cancelled, the other events went ahead as planned. All were run with the help of our local volunteers and were very successful. Over the years, they have had 45 groups provide volunteers, and this year they had 11 groups. 😍
The Festival’s objective is to cover all costs, and the surplus becomes the basis for the charity distribution. The amount going back to community clubs this year is $21,000. This brings the amount they have given back to the community to 315,165. That is since 2004, when they first started tracking the amounts provided to the volunteer clubs.
