Terry Fox – What a Canadian icon and hero. Did you know?
Terry Fox embarked on a remarkable journey in 1980. After loosing his leg to cancer, he started off on his awareness for cancer. Running across Canada for 143 days and covering 5,373 kilometers.
August 7th each year is Terry Fox Day, but every September for the last 45 years, it is the Terry Fox Run.
Join in to raise funds for cancer research today; Sunday, September 14th in Lac La Biche. Registration opens at 12pm and the run is from 1-3pm. You can walk, run, jog, bike, skateboard and the route is stroller and wheelchair friendly.
