Let’s give a hats off, raise your glass, salute to the most fantastic summer drink…the slushie!
July 11th is National Slurpee Day.
The slushed drink goes back to the late 1950s, when Omar Knedlik invented machines. It was by accident he came up with the idea. His soda fountain had broken down which forced him to put his sodas in a freezer to stay cool, which caused them to become slushy.
The Slurpee is the term 7-Eleven for carbonated slushies which started in 1966. July 11th is the birthday for the Slurpee which can be celebrated by drinking any frozen, slushie beverage (in our opinion). 😃💙
Just watch out for that brain-freeze! Enjoy the puzzle.
