Movies! Found an interesting tidbit about January 20th. In 1929 the first full-length talking motion picture was filmed outdoors. “In Old Arizona” went on to win 5 Academy Awards.

A some other fascinating “1st” facts about movies:
– 1888 1st movie ever was made. “Roundhay Garden Scene” lasted just 2.11 seconds.
– 1896 1st known horror film “The House of the Devil”.
– 1901 1st full length movie in color.
– 1902 1st known science-fiction film “A Trip to the Moon”.
– 1906 1st feature-length silent film “The Story of the Kelly Gang” was released.
– 1917 World’s 1st animated feature film “El ApA3stol”. (an Argentine animated film)
– 1922 1st ever 3-D move “The Power of Love”.
– 1925 1st film shot on an airplane “The Lost World”.
– 1984 1st PG-13 movie “Red Dawn”.
– 1987 1st movie to show a character using a cell phone “Leathal Weapon”.
