April 6th – Notable inventions and introductions!🤓
- 1980 – Post-It Notes debuted on the shelves in the U.S. They were introduced in Canada in 1981.
- 1930 – “Twinkies; the “golden sponge cake with a creamy filling” were invented by Canadian-born James Dewar. In 1984, they became known world-wide when the movie Ghost Busters mention the tasty treat.
- 1889 – The first commercial transparent roll film was put on the market. It wasn’t till 1900, with the Kodak Brownie camera which used roll film, brought photography within financial reach of consumers. Those that remember bringing their rolls of film in to be developed, will remember the excitement you had when you finally received your photos back (often in the mail).
