Bundle up, bring your crew, and feel the freeze, fun, and festival spirit!
Entry Fees: Kids 8 and under Free, $10 per person, $40 groups 5-7 people
Cash and debit accepted at the gate and registration, but other activities require cash; concession, raffles, etc.
Please dress for the weather, this is an outdoor event on the lake. Parking is in designated areas on the lake or by the LLB Museum. Please expect to walk.
NOTE: NO Drones Allowed.
Note: Cancelled are the Aircraft Ice Fly-In, Flying Tours

Friday, Feb 27 KICK-OFF! Back for it's 2nd year!
3pm-5pm Ice Block-Party* in Lac La Biche! – FREE! Kids, teens, adults…everyone is invited to the kick-off party! Get up close with the machines you will see at the festival this weekend; Mega Trucks, ice race cars and snowmobiles. Enjoy music, free hotdogs, and hot chocolate. Hosted by Community Learning (101 Ave 102 St. LLB Next to Scotiabank)

Saturday, Feb 28

8am-10:30am Pancake Breakfast on the ice. Hosted by LLB Back Country Riders Snowmobile Club
8am Sled Drag Registration till 10am & Car Racing Registration till 12pm (see the registration trailer on the ice)
9am–4pm
-Concessions - Including Back Country Riders roast your own Hot Dog or Smokie on the fire! Food trucks.
-Visit by OLAF* all weekend!
-Youth Pond Hockey Tournament is back! The Rob McCormick Memorial tournament has been missed over the last few years, it returned last year, but had to move into the Bold Centre. This year we are looking forward to it being on the lake! Located at the Festival Square, come and cheer them on! Age U7 & U9 teams. Hosted by Lac La Biche Kinsmen Club
-LLB Back Country Rider Auction fundraiser items on display in the concession tent. Auction at 4pm
10am-12pm Ice on Whyte Little' Chippers* - Try your hand at some mini ice sculpting; for kids and adults. Create your own piece of art. Hosted by Lions Club of LLB

-Ice Sculpting* - There will be five ice carving artists creating 4 themed designs. Artists -Sculptors' Association of Alberta
-Introduction to Snowmobile Rider Training - Your chance to try snowmobiling, no experience necessary. 2 tracks set up; one for kids and one for adults. Both Days! No fee, by donation. Hosted by the LLB Back Country Riders
-Visit the First Nation 18ft Teepee* Sit around the fire and talk with First Nations Elders. Hosted by the LLB Lions Club
-Metis Cultural Tent* Look at their displays, watch Bannock making...and enjoy some too! Hot chocolate served as well. Presented by Metis Nation District 19. Hosted by the LLB Lions Club
-Trappers Display - Trapper's display showing humane trapping practices. Come see a trappers cabin along with locally caught tanned furs on display. Hosted by Lac La Biche Trappers #1120 members of the Alberta Trappers Association.
-Axe Throwing - Unleash your inner lumberjack! Get some instruction and pointers, then ready...aim...BULLSEYE! Try your luck at the cash prizes! (some fees apply). Hosted by LLB Trappers
-Trade Show & Job Fair inside McArthur Place. Check out what companies have to offer, home business displays and sales, and buy a quality home-made product. Bring your resume down! Hosted by Lakeland Employment

11:55am-12:20pm Race Car Ride Alongs (Around lunch & mid-afternoon) - Always wanted to ride in a race car? This is your chance. Strap in for charity. $50 gets you 3 laps (don't worry safety gear is included). $25 goes to the car owner and $25 to local charities.
1pm MEGA Truck Race #1 – Hear the MEGA Truck Thunder – They’re Loud!! (Races at 1pm, 2pm & 3pm)
1-4pm Ice Car races - It's the Western Canadian Ice Racing Championships. This is the anchor event with drivers from across Canada. High octane, fast pace...not to be missed. Watch both days from 1-4pm. Hosted by NASCC (Norther Alberta Sports Car Club).

2-4pm Ice on Whyte Little' Chippers* - Try your hand at some mini ice sculpting for kids and adults. Create your own piece of art. Hosted by LLB Lions Club

4pm Snowball Race - Vintage Sled Fun Events (on the training track) - Have a vintage sled? Bring it out and participate in some fun games! Hosted LLB Back Country Snowmobile Club
4:20-4:40pm Car Charity Race & The Danita Malo Memorial Women's Charity Race Practice - Want to be a race car driver? This unique opportunity may not be for everyone, but for those that love speed, this is for you...and your supporting local charities too! $600 fee + $400 damage deposit. Drivers give up their cars to amateur drivers and teach you a thing or two. Includes practice and Sunday's final race for charity against the other charity racers. Interested in participating, contact Ken Staples at 780-404-3183. The number of entries are limited.
5pm Dinner & Entertainment—Dinner & Music in the Community Hall at the Bold Centre. Awards for Snowmobile Races. Enjoy delicious roast beef supper and great entertainment by local talent Girlz with Guitarz. Supper catered by Shelley Nahorney of We Cook LLB. Tickets are $40. Saturday tickets are available at the registration trailer or at the door while they last.

Ride starts at 10am (No fee, by donation) Your chance to get bring out your good ol' sled and go for a leisure ride with other vintage sleds, but of course all sleds are welcome. Enjoy lunch at the LLB Mission before travelling back. Hosted by LLB Back Country Riders

4:20-4:40pm Charity Races - Watch the charity race drivers go full out for bragging rights. Come out and cheer them on. We had 13 racers in 2024!
5:30pm Dinner & Awards; Ice Car & Mega Trucks. Community Hall, Bold Centre.
Each year, the Festival is hosted by many non-profit groups and a huge amount of volunteers. To all of them, thank-you for making this weekend possible.
