Huge thanks to Portage College for inviting me to be a judge in their Holiday Decorating Contest 🎄✨ From the incredible creativity to the festive treats, it was such a fun and memorable afternoon.
Here’s a little poem to sum up the experience…
🎄✨ Judging Day at Portage College ✨🎄
Twelve departments, one afternoon,
And wow met wow far too soon.
From twinkle lights to themed delight,
Attention to detail done just right.
Creativity? Off the chart.
Staff participation? Whole lotta heart.
Garlands, trees, and décor galore—
Each space better than the one before.
And the food… oh my goodness me,
Treats and sweets and meats, times three.
I couldn’t eat most (sad but true),
Thankfully my co-judge bravely chewed. 😄
So grateful, flattered, and proud to say,
What an amazing, festive afternoon this day.
Thanks for the invite, the laughs, the cheer,
And yes… the Portage swag was dear.
An alum since ’92 (and ’97 too!),
It was extra special walking through.
Portage College—you did it right.
