Festival of Trees, November 21-24, 2024!🎄🎄

Discover the magic of the holiday season in the Festival of Trees Wonderland.

Join us for a 4-day celebration! 

Such a remarkable event, with all the proceeds going to non-profits whose objective is to enhance the lives of children & youth in our local communities.

Attending the Festival of Trees is FREE! Instead, we ask you to bring and donate a non-perishable food item, new or gently used warm clothing, an unwrapped toy or stuffed animal or monetary donation instead of an entry fee. Donations will be going to Waskaysoo Food Bank, Stone Soup, Out of the Elements, Hopes Closet and Santa's Helpers.

There are so many amazing fundraisers and activities during the festival. We will list them all here.  Please see the event calendar for more details on some events. Unless noted, all events are at the Bold Center. 

Ticket sales will kick-off at the LLB Farmers Market November 8th.  Ticket sales will be at numerous locations November 10th to 20th and at the Festival Nov 21st to 24th.

Thursday, November 21st

- 10am to 8pm Discover the magic of the holiday season in the Festival of Trees Wonderland in the Community Hall. Tree viewing & enter your raffle tickets for your chance to win one of these decorated trees donated by local groups & businesses. Tickets also available for purchase. Draw for the trees begins Sunday, November 24th at 3pm in Field House #2.

- 1pm to 3pm Senior's Sneak Peek. Enjoy the trees along with tea and entertainment. (Curling Lounge)

Friday, November 22nd

- 10am to 5pm The Fabulous North Art Exhibition & Sale (2nd floor Viewpoint room)

- 2 to 7pm Music Concert in Field House #2. Showcasing schools music programs along with music lesson students.

- 3 to 7pm Christmas Shopping Extravaganza and 3-day Farmers Market. 

- 6pm Free Family/Comedy Movie "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" with Jim Carrey.  JAWS Flex Area

Saturday, November 23rd

- 8am to 11am KidSport Pancake Breakfast

- 10am to 8pm Walk through the magical Festival of Trees Wonderland; tree viewing & enter your raffle tickets for your chance to win one of these decorated trees donated by local groups & businesses. Tickets available for purchase. Draw for the trees begins Sunday, November 24th at 3pm in Field House #2.

People's Choice - Vote on your favourite tree!

- 10am to 3pm  Child Mind (1hr max. per child)

- 10am to 5pm:

- Christmas Shopping Extravaganza and 3-day Farmers Market.  Watch for the Kids Are Worth it Raffle and the Annual Cookie Walk by the Kinette Club of Lac La Biche. 

- Concessions

- Guest appearances by Olaf, the Tree & Book Elf

- Coat Check

- Giving Tree - Collecting donations for blessing bags to help others.  

- The Fabulous North Art Exhibition & Sale (2nd floor Viewpoint room)

- Children's Festival (Field House #2) Activities include: 

Bargain Store Coloring Contest. Pick up, color and return to the Bargain Store.

Crafts, Cookie Decorating, Fishing, Santa Letters, Bouncy Houses, Balloon Making and MORE!

- 11am to 2pm Santa Visit (Field House #2)

- 1pm to 4pm Celebrating Seniors' Tea (Curling Lounge)

- 1pm to 5pm Bingo (Wildrose Room) 

- 5pm to 7pm Spaghetti Supper (JAWS Flex Area)

- 7pm Portage Voyageurs vs. Augustana Vikings Hockey game.  Free admission from Britton's Your Independent Grocer.  Accepting food and toy donations.

- LLB Minor Hockey Games all day. 

Sunday, November 264th
