Community Learning promotes adult and family literacy through awareness activities, workshops, and community literacy projects.

Stone Soup Food Centre is a second harvest of food from the local grocery stores and restaurants, collects food that would otherwise be sent to the landfill.

They are both located at 10140 -102 St.  Suite 101

Highlights & Updates:

Total food rescued edible food in 2024 28,212 lbs.

March - Food rescued 10,000 lbs.

Volunteers are needed for both groups to operate.  Contact them at 780-623-2477 if you can help out. 

Community Learning:

- Growing Connections starts mid-May to mid-September.  Looking for families with children or youth to participate in 6-interactive sessions.  This is FREE and all supplies are included.  Space is limited.  Registration deadline is May 20th.  Apply on their website HERE or print the pdf and email or drop off at the Community Learning Hub.

- Food Safety Course September 21 & 22.  To register call or email.  Minimum age is 14 years old.

- Basic Computer Skills meet and greet next course will be in April/May 2024. Contact if you are interested.

- Tech Time with Your Local Buzz.  Do you need help operating your smart phone or tablet?  Contact us to inquire.

Active Fundraisers - Every purchase supports programming and education to increase food literacy in our community.

Stone Soup Food Centre

- Donations of non-perishable food items and household are needed. 

- BAG ROUND UP!  We are collecting and repurposing clean plastic grocery, bread and reusable grocery bags.  If you need some, stop in and pick some up.
