“Earl the Squirrel”

Today is National Squirrel Appreciation Day!
And who doesn’t appreciate a cute squirrel?

Here are a few fun squirrel facts you may or may not know 🤓
~ There are 22 different species of squirrel found in Canada. Of them, 16 are ground-dwelling and 6 are tree-species.
~ Squirrel’s front teeth never stop growing.
~ They can find food buried beneath a foot of snow!
~ The strategy to escape predators they use is the “zigzag”. Works good on hawks, but not so good on cars.
~ Up to 25% of their buried food is lost to thieves. If only everyone had the work ethic of a squirrel. 🤭
